New aquaintance: “Have you ever heard of (Gypsy Xanga Fl0w3r Moon [or any other random band/artist name])?” Me, respectfully: “No I haven’t!”
Them, disheartened: “But I thought you work in music?”
Me: ︎ (sigh)

AFTERNOON
I’m always making new playlists... sometimes oldies, sometimes new or genre-specific. It’s a full scope of old favorites ranging from songs that creep from the hidden file cabinets in the back of my mind, to recommendations from friends and followings, to new music that hits me daily via work as a publicist in music & entetainment, and attempting to keep in touch with the vast overflow of exceptional artistry that can come to fruition in modern times. There’s so much. The world is abundant. xCor

70s+ Easy Listening & Classic RockIn the words of Van Morrison...These are the days of the endless summer
These are the days, the time is now
There is no past, there's only future
There's only here, there's only now
I’m driven to add to this playlist every time I hear a song of the past that settles my mind and tugs at my heart. Some of these are long fan favorites, some of them are tracks that find you as you’re listening to the full record as you go about your day. Mac Davis with a reminder to “Stop and Smell the Roses.” Poco with the cool breeze of “Indian Summer.” Cher with her take on the classic “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay.” Crusing, windows down, slow speed on “Mainstreet” with Bob Seger on the way to “The Promised Land” of Bruce Springsteen, where “You’ll Accomp’ny Me” for a second round of Mr. Seger. Cause why not. It’s easy and we’re “Rollin’ With the Flow” according to Charlie Rich. Multiple from Stevie Nicks and Bonnie Raitt too, cause that’s just how I like it.
Foaming at the Mouth for Summer
The random assortment of what I’m listening to summer ‘26Every time a new season starts, and a song discovery really hits, I start a new playlist.
This song “Foaming” by Day We Ran struck me in late May, and I was like ‘damn, I’m ready for summer.’
It’s an illogical, unplanned, disorganized, lovely, wonderful, varied box of tunes. Maybe there’s something in here you’ll like. An array of tracks from The Isley Brothers to PinkPantheress, to Madonna (becuase Confessions II obvi), to Kacey Musgraves and Kenny Chesney, to Grace Jones and ford.
If you’re looking for a more cohesive theme, check out my other lists <3

Sketch for Seasonal Sun
Early Morning Jives & Coastal DrivesA few years back...
It was the perfect day in Los Angeles. Sunny, clear blue skies for miles. White ocean caps with surfers riding to the shore. Driving up the coast, windows down, sunroof open, 360 degress of sunshine. It was a slow kind of day, in the best way, the type where every moment shines on it own and every move comes with ease, like a wave of positive energy is flowing you forward.
